ADAM ŠAKOVÝ
Adam Šakový – jeden z najvýraznejších predstaviteľov mladého umenia, ktorí sa na slovenskej výtvarnej scéne začali objavovať a presadzovať v poslednom desaťročí. Absolvent ateliéru Klaudie Kosziby na VŠVU v Bratislave si za tento pomerne krátky čas stihol vyformovať jasný a signifikantný výtvarný prejav, ktorý naďalej kultivuje a rozvíja.
Tvorba Adama Šakového už od jeho študentského obdobia pomerne analyticky skúma vlastnosti média maľby a jej možnosti manipulácie skutočnosti. Pôvodný interes autora o vytváranie ilúzie v jeho dielach, pre ktoré využíval fotografiu ako predobraz, naďalej ostáva. Mení sa však zámer vytvárania pochybnosti a teda o aké médium sa jedná (fotografia alebo maľba). Vizuálnu hru s pozornosťou recipienta už konštituuje trochu inak – nejde už o obraz ako priestor pre imagináciu 3D reality, naopak, sploštením – posunutím maľby do jej pravej povahy takmer okamžite nastáva strata ilúzie a to doslova. Celé toto zdanlivo výlučne formálne pole výskumu média maľby sa pritom už tradične deje na pozadí koncepčne vystavanej významovej roviny.
Adam Šakový, the one of the most outstanding figures of the young painting, who appeared and became more visible on the Slovak art scene during the last ten years. The graduate of the Klaudia Kosziba’s studio at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava succeeded during this short period of time in formulating his own clear and significant artistic expression, which he continues to further cultivate and develop.
Since his university studies Adam Šakový explores, in a quite analytical way, the character of a medium of painting and its possibilities to manipulate the reality. The author’s original interest in creating an illusion for which he used a photography as a model, still persists. What changed, is the aim of creating the uncertainty about the medium itself (painting or photography). A visual game with the attention of a recipient is now constructed a little bit differently – not as an image as a space for an imagination of 3D reality. On a contrary, by flattening – shifting a painting to its original form the illusion almost immediately disappears, literally. All this seemingly formal “playground” is happening, as usual in Šakový’s oeuvre, on the clearly and conceptually constructed basis.
